This is a two bedroom terrace house in a classic Victorian neighbourhood in the Leytonstone suburban area of Waltham Forest which Starling Construction was proud to work on.
The rear extension expanded the kitchen into the garden which spans the full width of the property, at the same time creating an open plan dining area and more open space to the living room. Along with a new much larger open-plan kitchen, alterations included two bespoke aluminium rooflights which results in the room being exceptionally light and spacious. The new space will act as a light filled open plan social hub for all the family to use.

This was a standard single storey rear extension allowing the expansion of the ground-floor outwards at the rear of the property. This type of extension can vastly increase the ground-floor floorspace and is ideal when extra rooms might be needed, such as an additional toilet or utility room. Rear extensions are also brilliant at providing large open plan kitchens and dining areas with large bi-fold doors which blur the line between outdoor and indoor spaces. Obviously they are most suitable for homes where garden size is less of an issue.
